Nathan Allan Urbany

March 27, 1991 — July 1, 2018

Nathan A. Urbany, passed away at the age of 27, on July 1, 2018. Nathan served as a firefighter for the Bernalillo County Fire Department since 2015, which he took great pride in. Nathan was born to Melissa A. Tafoya and Rex A. Urbany on March 27, 1991 at Camp Pendleton, California. As a military dependent, Nathan grew up in multiple states and Japan.  This contributed to his sense of adventure. Nathan loved being outdoors, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and hunting. His circles of friendships grew everywhere he went, from the gym to the neighborhood supermarket. He exuded passion and pride for his vehicles, collections, and hobbies. Nathan is survived by his 7 year old son, Gabriel R. Urbany. He is also survived by his grandparents, parents, sister, brother, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. It is often commented that Nathan was fun-loving, adventurous, passionate and hard working by friends and family. He was strong in both mind and body, a fierce friend, a brother to those who knew him, always excited to help and work hard until the work was done and was a shining example to those who admired him.

The family invites you to attend a memorial to be held at Fire Station 30,  6697 4th St NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, NM 87107 at 9am on Wednesday, July 4th.
