Ned Eugene Coffey of Bernalillo New Mexico, passed from this earth on October 12, 2021 at his home, He was born in Grants, New Mexico, on February 16, 1968. Ned was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Faith Coffey, his nephew Allen Coffey, and his grandparents. He is survived by sister, Fonda Sanchez and her husband Robert of Bernalillo, sister, Rayna Williams of New Boston, Texas, and brother, Rod Coffey and his wife Anna of Ruidoso. He and Fonda were born on the same date seven years apart. For her seventh birthday, Fonda got a green bicycle and Ned. Katrina Lason was a longtime friend and companion. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other special family members and friends,
Ned was a handyman and could fix all kinds of things. He would put a 2-stroke engine on just about anything with wheels and make it go down the road, usually with him hanging precariously on it. He was quite creative and could even sew. He was such a character and was the family's own personal stand-up comedian. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh, if he discovered a story was humorous to others, he would tell it over and over again and embellish It as he went along. He truly gave us plenty of good laughs over the years. Ned played sports as a young man and was particularly talented in baseball* He also had a great love for music of all genres. He wrote songs, played guitar, and sang. He made it a point to find fun things to do with nieces and nephews during family reunions. There was always a new adventure to be enjoyed. He would tell them, "l love you too much for me!"
Ned will certainly be missed, although his departure from this life may seem too soon to us, God works in his own timing, and we pray that Ned is at peace with his loved ones who have gone before. A memorial service will be held at Daniels Family Funeral home at the Wyoming Chapel in Albuquerque on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 3 p.m.
