Negede Murphy

Murphy, Negede Cecilia 46, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020. She was born in Santa Fe, NM on March 27, 1974, to Getachew Asrat and Gloria Lopez-Davidson. She was preceded in death by her sister Fasika Asrat; and brothers, Mark Lopez and David Lopez-Lucero. Negede is survived by daughter, Rachael Apodaca; sisters, Amalia Lopez-Lucero and Helen Lopez-Davidson; her mother, Gloria Lopez-Davidson; her father, Getachew Asrat; and her grandson, Antares Ortiz.
Negede or "Cece", which her friends called her, was a homemaker who loved art, reading and music, but most of all, she loved her daughter and grandson. She took pride in how strong her daughter is and all she has accomplished. Cece was smart and kind but also fierce as she wouldn't take anyone's BS. She will be missed and NEVER forgotten.
