Nell H. Scott

Nell H Scott, lovingly called ‘Ma’ and ‘Grandmother’ by her family, passed away on November 6th 2018 at the age of 91 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nell was born in Lamesa, Texas on July 6th 1927 to Eva and Walter Hall. She had 4 siblings, Edwin, Gladys, ‘Slim’, and ‘Nig’. Nell was married for 64 years to James Cecil ‘JC’ Scott. JC ‘stole’ her away from her fiancee. He wrote her a letter while serving in Hawaii during WWII and told her that he was going to marry her when he returned from the war. Nell was popular and well loved. She loved her grand kids, watching football, and celebrating holidays. Nell traveled the world, her favorite place was New Zealand and she hated Morocco because she didn’t like eating with her hands. Nell loved little dogs, especially toy poodles. Her dogs Misty and Amber were spoiled and had special snacks. Nell filled her days by volunteering at hospitals and being an active real estate agent. Nell had two daughters Donna (husband Edward) and Sharon (husband Tony), grandchildren: Christy, Scott, Matthew, Wade, and Josh; and great grandchildren: Anthony, Rebecca, Michelle, Ian, Olivia, and Elijah. Nell will be cremated and no official services will be held. Her ashes will be spread during a celebration of life with her family at a later date. The family would like offer to offer their thanks to Brookdale Senior Living for their care of her.
