Dziekan, Nellie P.
Nellie Dziekan, 97, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, passed away on April 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Joseph Dziekan.
Nellie is survived by her daughter, Karen Spingola, Grandsons Lawrence Spingola and Joseph Spingola, Great-Granddaughter Riley Grace Spingola, and Sisters Josephine Klehr, Valerie Klehr, Dorothy Patoski, and many nieces and nephews in New York State.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1917, Nellie lived in Rochester, N.Y. most of her life, and then retired in 1985, and moved to Albuquerque to be near her daughter and grandsons. She enjoyed gardening, going to Church, walking, was a homemaker, and a baker, and her favorite hobby was crocheting. Many people and pets have the blankets that she made.
A funeral Mass will be held in Nellie's honor at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, May 2, at 9:30 am, with private interment for the immediate family.
