Nellie M. Johnson

Johnson, Nellie M. Age 94, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013. She was born in Raton, NM on April 23, 1919. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ben Johnson; son Vincent Rubio and daughter in law Betty Johnson. Nellie is survived by her son, Michael Johnson, Sr.; grandchildren Kathy Sisneros, Sherise and husband Dickie Garcia, Judy and husband Paul Baker, and Michael Johnson, Jr. and wife Lupe; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters Susie Young, Linda Sanders, Maria Chavez and husband Ben; and several extended family members. Nellie loved spending time with her family, cooking, crocheting and being outside in her garden. Nellie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, 8:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic, 1860 Griegos Rd NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 9:00 am also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park following service. Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Jr., Dominick Sisneros, Orlando Salazar, Paul Terrazas, Orlando Reed and Michael Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Dickie Garica and Richard Chavez.
