Nelson Kee

Kee died May 27, 2011, in Show Low. He was born Oct. 16, 1913, in Steamboat. Kee was born into the Mexican People Clan and born for the Coyote Pass People Clan. Kee worked for Santa Fe Railroad. He retired in 1978 and was a veteran of World War II. He was a rancher, sheepherder and tended to his horses. He lived life to the fullest and left behind good memories and a legacy of love. Survivors include his wife, Mae; sons, Benson, Benjamin, Jay, Ronnie; daughters, Irene, Rita, Tasha, Lucy, Mae, Tanya; sister, Bernice Smith; 57 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren. Kee was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alkeehasbah Kee; brothers, George, Guy Tso, Ivan, Allen, Joe. Pallbearers will be Benson Kee, Benjamin Kee, Ronnie Kee, Dewayne Kee, Francis Smith. The family will receive relatives and friends at Steamboat Chapter House, following services.
