Neva Grace Havely

HAVELY, Neva Grace, 92, went to her eternal rest Sunday, October 4, 2009. Neva Grace was born December 20, 1916 in Thayer, Kansas to Aleck and Anna Basler. She was the eighth of thirteen children and was raised in Erie, Kansas. She married Willard F. Havely in Shaw, Kansas on September 12, 1937. They moved to Farmington in 1958 where she worked at Dunlaps and Montgomery Ward. In 1966 they moved to their ranch in Blanco, NM. She was a faithful member of the Bloomfield First Baptist Church. She had been a member of the Grand Chapter of the Kansas Order of the Eastern Star since 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willard F., five brothers and their wives, five sisters and their husbands, and one son-in-law. She is survived by her daughter, LaVera J. Wilks of Blanco, NM; her son, Bernard C., Havely and wife Rita of Dallas, Texas; her daughter, Margaret K. Beasley and husband Sylvester of Farmington, NM; and her son, Willard R. Havely and wife Terry of Blanco, NM. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren; one brother, Loren Basler and wife Dorthea of Bartlesville, OK; sister in-laws, Rachael Banks and husband Fred of Burbank, CA, Dorothy Cole and husband Frank of Beverly, KS, Marjorie Percival of Coffeeville, KS, and Wilha Finley of Wichita, KS, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington, in Farmington. Pallbearers are: Bryan Wilks, Joshua Wilks, Michael Havely, Devin Meeks, Gerald Hicks and Tyler Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Orlan Meeks, Wesley Meeks, Clinton Weishan, Justin Hicks, Russell Jones, Bradley Havely and Nathan Selders.
