Nicholas B. Madrid, dad & grandpa, 91, passed away on Dec. 10, 2022. Nick was the first son, born Dec. 6, 1931, in Tucumcari, NM to Vicente & Frances Madrid. He served two years in the U.S. Army, he was last stationed at Camp Lucas in Sault Ste Marie Mi. where he met Loretta L. Fournier. They were married on Jan. 31 1953 in Sault Ste Marie Mi. he was discharged in Feb. 1953.
They moved to Albuquerque where they built a life, family & home together. Nick was a scale mechanic for toledo sales, until joining his brothers in their window mfg. company, Madrid Mfg. He enjoyed cars, aviation, family camping/picnicking, gardening, and making things grow. He was always educating himself on the newest ideas. After retiring, Nick & Loretta enjoyed traveling, making several trips to see family in Chicago, Sault Ste. Marie, Minnesota & California to name a few. After his wife Loretta passed in 2020, Nick was lost without her. He will be dearly missed & remembered.
He is survived by son, Nick A. Moriarity, daughter, Renee (Gary) Blascziek St Joseph MN, sons Matthew & Daniel, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, many cousins, nieces & nephews.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eddie, Vince & Richard, wife Loretta, sons Gordon, Bruce & Brian & grandson Joshua.

Rosary & funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4 2023 10:30 a.m. at Daniels Funeral Services 7601 Wyoming Blvd N.E. Albuquerque, N.M. 87109. He will be laid to rest, joining his wife at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
