Salazar, Nina

Nina was born on June 8th, 1919 in Black Lake New Mexico. She passed away on July 4th, 2021 at the age of 102 in Albuquerque New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her  husband, Amado Salazar, parents, Belisandro and Carlota Mares, as well as her siblings; Flora Martinez, Aurora Battat, Bellisando Mares Jr., Elvira Archuleta, and Odilia Mares, Carlos Mares, Tonita Negrette, Bobby (Isias) Mares, Eugene Mares, and Andy (Andres) Mares and children Robert Salazar, Lloyd Salazar Ike Salazar. She was survived by her siblings, Carolina Hall, Orlando Mares, and Eleanor Myers, as well as her children John Salazar, Rose Holcomb, Elsie Baca, and Amado Salazar Jr.

She was educated at Taos Highschool and the Simpson Bible Institute, On Nov 28th, 1964, She Married Amado Salazar in Taos, NM, and they were together for 24 years. She had an exceptional family, with 21 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and 31 great-great grandchildren.  Nina was a home missionary, and a member of Grace Brethren Church in Taos New Mexico.
