Norma Lucero - Montano

April 25, 1963 — February 2, 2014

Lucero - Montano , Norma 50, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was born in El Paso, TX on April 25, 1963 to Carlos and Elva (Amaro) Lucero. She was a life long resident of Socorro and the San Antonio area. She worked with the Socorro District Court for about 18 years. Norma just simply loved to spend time with her family and friends, that was her favorite thing in this world. She was beautiful inside and out, and was without a doubt, the strongest wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma; aunt and friend ever known. Her only care in this world, were her family and friends and until we all meet again, her love, strength, faith and courage will remain with us. Her passing has left a heartache no one can heal, but her love has left a memory no one can steal. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father in law, Benny Montano Sr., her brother in law, Benny Montano Jr., and her beloved step son, David Montano Jr. Norma is survived by the love of her life, her friend and her husband, David Montano; her devoted children, Joey Baca; Jeremy Baca and Theresa; Kayla Gonzales; Kianna Gonzales; and Cynthia Montano; her loving parents, Carlos and Elva Lucero; her sisters, which were her best friends, Sylvia; Liz and husband, Victor; Margie and husband, Johnny; and Myrna and husband, Kenny; her devoted brothers, Carlos Jr.; George and wife, Jeanie; Humberto and wife, Berna; and Oscar; her mother in law, Lillie Montano; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and close friends. Norma will also be missed by her grandchildren, her pride and joy, Jeremiah; Carlos; Jenna; Chloe; Isaac; Jessyna; Javon; Kayleen; Isaiah; Jacob; and Honey. Funeral Services will held this Friday, February 7, 2014 with the Eulogy being given at 8:15am; the Holy Rosary being recited at 8:30 am; and the Mass of Resurrection celebrated with Monsignor Leo Gomez at 9:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. Inurnment will take place in the Luis Lopez Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joey Baca, Jeremy Baca, George Lucero, and Humberto Lucero. Honorary pallbearers are Oscar Lucero, Carlos Lucero Jr., Kayla Gonzales, Kianna Gonzales, Cynthia Montano, and all of Norma's loving grand babies.
