Norma “Jean” Myers was born November 4, 1933, to Clarence & Neva Knight in Clovis, NM. She passed away peacefully January 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Jean is proceeded in death by her parents, husband BK, daughter Sherri Atkins, and her beloved dogs, Brandi, Jack & Misty.

Jean and BK were married May 22, 1951. They were high school sweethearts. They were married for 63 years, until BK passed in 2014. They were a role model couple, and we all looked up to them.

Jean, “Gran- to her grandkids,” holds a special place in her family’s heart. She was one of a kind and will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed for her kind heart, soul, and sense of humor. Jean was a beautiful person inside and out. All though she is greatly missed she is watching over us from heaven and has been reunited with the love of her life BK. Jean was an amazing wife, mom, gran, great gran, great- great gran, and friend to everyone who knew her. Jean loved her family, going to her cabin in Eagle Nest, watching her husband race, reading, spending time with friends, going on walks, playing cards, watching Lobo basketball, Christmas, Church, and Pastor Si.

Jean touched so many lives throughout all her years working in the schools. She especially loved working elementary school 4th grade. She worked in the schools most of her life. She loved her students, and they all had a special place in her heart.
