CLARK_Norman R. Clark, 81, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Norman was born February 1, 1928 the son of Harry and Mildred Bieber Clark in Lackawanna, New York. Norman served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Alaska from 1945-1947. He was originally from Buffalo, New York, visited the southwest many times, and retired from trucking and moved to Rio Rancho in 1980. He took on a second career in banking, working his way up from mail room to bank executive. He officially retired in 1990. Norman was an avid walker up until his illness and could be seen walking all over town. He had a great interest in planes and aviation. Norman was an amazing grandfather; taking an active role in all his grandchildren's activities, as spectator or active participant. Whatever they wanted, he was ready. And they loved it. Norman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley, of Rio Rancho; one daughter, Debbie Usiak of Rio Rancho; one son, Bob Clark and wife Cheryl of Rio Rancho; he was the beloved grandfather of Trenton, Matthew, and Kristin Clark, and William Stapleton. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Place NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
