Welch, Norman Age 62, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was born in Sweetwater, TX on August 4, 1950, to Ross and Lavelle Welch. Norman graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, TX. As we mourn the loss of Norman, we ask that all his family and friends celebrate his life the way he would have wanted it: good company, good food, and lots of laughter. Norman never met a stranger. His boisterous laugh filled the room and his wild stories of his childhood in Texas always left people smiling. Norman was very proud of his Coushatta and Choctaw Indian bloodlines and was a Texan through and through. He spent most of his adult life in California where he worked as a high rise iron worker and was a loyal member of California Iron Workers Local Union 433. Norman loved to golf, read, dance, sing and simply enjoyed the purity of being outdoors and sipping on a good cup of coffee. Norman loved his family and was loyal to his friends. He enjoyed being part of the Rio Rancho United Methodist Church. For this, Norman will be missed, but will always be remembered with love. He was preceded in death by his parents. Norman is survived by wife, Sandra Jean Welch of Rio Rancho, NM; sons, Joe Welch of Los Alamitos, California, John Welch of Clarksville, Tennessee; step-daughters, Michelle Baca, Monique Chavez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; brother, Danny Welch and wife Patsi of Moreno Valley, California.
