Norman Beryl Woods, 80, of Farmington, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Farmington. He was born April 4, 1931, in East Liverpool, Ohio. He joined the Air Force at age 16, earned his GED and then went on to college, attaining the rank of second lieutenant. He flew jets in the Korean War and lacked only one kill to earn the designation of “Ace” pilot. He worked for McDonnell Douglas Corporation, and owned his own company, World Engineering, in Long Beach, Calif. He worked in gas and oil as a supervisor until his retirement in 1007. He loved the Denver Broncos, horse racing, golf, camping, traveling and Happy Hour with the boys at the Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beryl and Marie Woods; brother, Paul Woods; and sisters, Cleo Pain, Kathleen Winn and Darlene Woods. He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Sam (Jeanetta) Bean; daughter, Anna Marie (Shelby) Schroth; sisters, Bonnie Lindquist and Marlene Jenner; and grandchildren, Alex, Aidan and Allison Schroth.
