Odelia Lucero, age 87, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. She was born on May 30, 1927 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Filomena and Cosme Garcia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, sons-in-law - Jerry and Phillip, grandchildren – Theresa Ann, Sental, and Phillip (Bubba). Odelia is survived by her children, Allen (Carmen), MaryAnn, Mona, Gloria (Carl), Bernice (Dana), Elizabeth, Irene, Janet (Michael), and Michael. Grandchildren – Ray, Gabriel, Geraldine (Rudy), Theresa (Yei), Tabetha, Desiree, Savanna (Mario), Crystal, Falicity, Brandon, Arkulas, Steven, Aaron, Anthony, Mario, and 23 great grandchildren. Odelia  was a lady of strong faith and enjoyed praying the rosary with her sisters and whoever was willing to participate. She was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and contributed to many religious organizations.  She always treated people with love and compassion. The one thing that was sure to put a smile on her face was her family, sweet treats and feeding everyone. Her passion was gardening, tending to her roses and pulling weeds. She loved her little doggies Mavrick and Stinky.  Odelia’s family loved her dearly and will miss her tremendously. A Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 2, 2015, 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 12:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM. A reception will follow at 3:00 p.m. at St. Anne Parrish.
