Olive D. Harris

Olive D. Harris, 84, of Bisti, entered through the gates of Paradise as she said she would hours before her passing Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009. She was born May 15, 1924, in Bisti, to Amos Denetdeal Begay and Alice Morris Begay. Olive was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles H. Harris Sr.; sister, Esther Antonio; brothers, Roger Deal, Chester Benally and Willie Begay; daughters, Grace Harris (infant) and Jane Harris; and son, Arnold Harris. Olive is survived by daughters, Lorena Harris of Denver, and Etheline Harris and Elaine Harris, both of Farmington; sons, Charles (Janet) Harris Jr. of Farmington, Donaldson Harris of Black Mesa, Ariz., Charleson (Geraldine) Harris of Fruitland; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Charley and Jane Atencio; and numerous nephews and nieces.
