Onofre Tafoya

Tafoya, Onofre Loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, November 15, 2013 at the age of 87. He was born in Los Ranchos, New Mexico to Liberato and Amalia Tafoya. Onofre adored his family and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed dancing and puzzles. He is preceded in death by his wife Ida Tafoya and son in law Andrew R. Sanchez. Onofre is survived by his children Louise Salas and husband Joe, Dora Garcia and husband Mariano, Helen Sanchez; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Onofre will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Visitation will take place at Garcia Chapel of Angels, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 9:00 am; Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mariano Garcia, Jr., Andrew Sanchez, Jr., Carlos Dorcas, Mariano Garcia III, Isaac Garcia and Sam Sanchez.
