Opal D. Stone, 84, of Denver, Colo., passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Porter Hospice in Denver. She was born Sept. 19, 1925, in Home Gardens, Calif., to Delbert L. Lee and Georgia L. Brinkley. Opal was a longtime resident of Farmington prior to moving to Denver. Opal was very active in the LDS Church and held many positions in the church. She especially loved working with the youth of the church. She was very involved with Junior Women's League and was honored as Junior Woman of the Year for the state of New Mexico. She loved to travel and loved visiting family. Opal is survived by her daughters, Machele Stone and Shannon Stone; son, Scott Stone; grandchildren, Josh Kimsey, Ashley Solay and one on the way; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Nedda Lee, M.V. (Buz) Lee, Verne Lee, Virginia Uselman, Darrell Lee and Dannette Riddle. Arrangements are with Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington
