Bailey, Oran "Bill"
Age 92, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Edith Bailey of 15 years. One son, Joseph Carl Bailey, Chickasha, OK one sister, Josie Belle Knecht, Johnson City, TX. He was proceeded in death by his son, William Harold Bailey. Oran served in WWII. He was in the Combat Engineer Battalion. He retired from the Soil Conservation Service.
Bill was talented fiddler. As a hobby while in college, he joined the "Aggie Rambler". Later he formed his own band, "Bill Bailey and the Country Classics." After retirement playing music turned into full time job. He ended all of his performances with the song, "Bill Bailey, Won't You Come Home." He enjoyed playing and competed in many contests over the years. That was his life. Bill enjoyed every minute of it.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services -Sara Rd. Chapel. A service will follow at 2:00pm.
