Orlando Pino

Pino, Orlando 55, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born in Socorro, NM on April 28, 1959 to Jimmy R. and Arabella (Garcia) Pino. He was a lifelong resident of Socorro. He worked for the City of Socorro for about 36 years. Orlando was a survivor of two liver transplants in 1993 and received a kidney transplant from his daughter Jamie in 2004. Orlando enjoyed restoring cars, building sand rails, camping in the great outdoors, and especially spending time with his wife of 36 years, Linda. He was a hard working man and always provided for his family. Orlando's greatest past time was just simply spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father in 2010. Orlando is survived by his devoted mother, Arabella Pino; his loving wife, Linda (Jaramillo) Pino; his children, Jamie and Orlando M. Pino; his brothers, Samuel, Lorenzo, and Richard J. Pino; his sister, Marina E. Lopez and partner, Arthur Herron; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving family members. Orlando will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Derek Pino, Daejah and Daneveah Hudson. The Holy Rosary was recited on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. The Mass of Resurrection was celebrated on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00am also at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment took place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bobby Lee Jaramillo, Chris Lopez, Frankie Gonzales, Lorenzo Pino Jr., Tommy Pino, Tony Pino, Raymond Daniel Jaramillo, and Andrew Pino.
