Keers, Orlinda Ernestina (Vigil)
May 12, 1933- September 12, 2015 Orlinda went to meet her Lord and left a legacy of Love and Color. Her love of her children, grandchildren, husband and extended family had no bounds. Her lifelong desire to put color on canvas or paper left us with many beautiful works of art. She was a charter member of the New Mexico Pastel Artists Society and an active member of the New Mexico Watercolor Group. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudio and Dominguita Vigil and two stillborn children. Orlinda (Nina by some) is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Robert Keers; her three older sisters, Elnora Sanchez, Ruth Montoya and Eloisa Mondragon; her two children, Brenda Kilcup and husband Brian Kilcup and William Keers;  and by grandchildren, Charmayne Kilcup, Cameron Kilcup, Cailyn Kilcup and Leland Keers. Services will be Thursday, September 17, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 at 11:00 AM followed by a reception/lunch at the church at 12:00pm. There will be a viewing Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services at 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will be with family at a later time. Rest in peace dearest one, we all love you. The family has started a scholarship through the Alumni Association at Menaul School, where Orlinda graduated in 1953 and continued her education on an art scholarship to UNM.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Orlinda Keers Scholarship fund.  Please make checks payable to Alum/MCA Legacy Scholarship in honor of Orlinda Vigil Keers.
