Orvil E. Hensley

HENSLEY - Orvil E. Hensely, born April 30, 1930 in Franklin, OH, to Frank and Rose Hensley, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2011. Orvil was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Orvil proudly served with the United States Air Force during which he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, and was later stationed in Germany as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. Followed by his service with USAF, Orvil made a career as a Tool and Die Engineer while raising his family in Southern California. He later returned to Albuquerque, NM where he retired with his wife in 1979. Orvil is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dolores M. Hensley; children, Roseanne Orozco and husband Frank, and Jeannie Hubbard and husband Jerry; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brothers Darrell Hensley and wife Garnetta and Lawrence Hensley and wife Donna; and sister Violet Caskey and husband Rus. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Frank and Robert Hensley; brother, Benny Hensley, and sister Edith Wilson. Orvil always expressed kindness and generosity to everybody he loved. He will be forever remembered in our thoughts and prayers and will never be forgotten.
