Pablo Garcia Jr.

July 27, 1931 — January 9, 2020

Pablo Garcia Jr. (Uncle Paul), age 88, was embraced by our Lord Jesus Christ early Thursday morning the 9th of January 2020. He passed peacefully in his longtime home surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born in Bueyeros, NM and spent much of his early life riding his horse and living on the ranch in Bueyeros, he would go to school in Clayton, NM and graduate from Clayton High School in 1951. From there he joined the US Air Force and moved to Denver, CO where he would meet the love of his life, Ada. After being married they would live and be stationed in Texas, California, New Mexico, Michigan, and Nevada all while growing their happy family. In between these moves Paul was also stationed overseas in Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines. After retirement in 1971 they decided to bring the family back home to New Mexico and settle in.

Paul was a dedicated 20 year veteran serving both in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was also a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather and touched the lives of so many others. He had a gentle and quiet sense of humor that was almost innocent and endearing. There was an unconditional love he had for everyone close to him, be it family, friend or neighbor. He looked to always see the good in people and cherish every moment with loved ones.

Paul was full of life and had many hobbies to keep him busy including carving monkeys and baskets out of peach pits, wood carving and tending to his peach tree, and working on puzzles. For him any time was a good time to bring out his guitar or violin and start singing a song. He also loved to play his harmonica for visitors and if there was dancing there was no stopping him from cutting a rug. For all this he will be forever remembered and missed dearly by all who knew him. He was as genuine as they come and as

sweet as the peaches on his peach tree.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie (Ada) Garcia; his parents Pablo and Manuelita Garcia; his brothers Alejo, Jerry, Felix, Nap, Joe, Tony; sisters, Mary and Grace. Survived by siblings; Lynn Alarid (deceased George), Irene Hahn (husband Bob); Children Toby (wife Christine), Terrylynn (husband John), Thomas and Genevieve; Grandchildren Dominique, Alyssa (husband Francisco), Jonathon, Stephanie (husband Nick), and Matthew; Great Grandchildren Sovaida, Andelacio, Anastiacio, and Adeline.

The family extends their gratitude to Heritage Hospice, his friends and the staff at Share Your Care, all extended family and friends. To view information or to leave condolences please visit www.danielsfuneral.com
