Pamela J. Iden, born in Albany, New York in 1920, passed away on Tuesday,
March 21, 2017. Pam was predeceased by her husband, Robert Iden, whom she married on January 30, 1952 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is survived by her loving daughter, Robin and her husband, Jeff, her grandson, Mark, her granddaughter Amy and her husband, Charlie, and her niece Nancy and her husband, Joe. Pamela received her nursing degree before enlisting to serve in WWII where she rose to the rank of First Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. Pamela worked as a school nurse in Albuquerque before turning her attention to raising her daughter and participating in local charities and organizations. She was especially proud of her more than fifty years of membership in the P.E.O., Chapter E.
Pamela’s family wishes to thank Roann and the staff at Love for Life for their loving care, and Francesco Standoli, M.D., and the Hospice of New Mexico for their compassion.
A private service will be held. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pamela’s honor to the American Red Cross and the P.E.O. Foundation.
