Pascual Chavez

May 17, 1925 — February 8, 2014

Pascual Chavez, age 88, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 8, 2014, while surrounded by his loving family. He was a longtime resident of Alameda, where he was a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Pascual served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mescinda Chavez. Pascual is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Domitilia Chavez; his children, Ida (Wheeler)Torrez and husband Charles, Eugene Chavez; his grandchildren, Ronald, Leo and Patrick Wheeler, Olivia and Yolanda Chavez; great-grandchildren, John and Nick Troise, Jenasis Lugo, Brandon, Marie and Stephiane Wheeler; great-great-granddaughter, Jasmine Troise; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pascual will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Visitations will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitations will also be on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family - Alameda Mortuary. Another Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St.,NW. Final Viewing will be Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family - Alameda Mortuary. Followed by the Service of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho. Casket Bearers will be Brian Dreier, Charles Torrez, Leo Wheeler, Patrick Wheeler, Ronald Wheeler and Brandon Wheeler. Honorary Bearer will be Chuck Buck.
