Ballou, Patricia Ann
a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2015. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Socorro, NM. She arrived on a Saturday, October 21, 1944 in Pueblo, CO to her parents, Thomas Raymond and Mary Alberta (Bono) Singleterry. In May of 1965, Patricia married her husband and best friend, Robert William Ballou and became the mother to his four children, Ronald, Carol, Joyce, and Jean. Together they later welcomed two more children, Lynda Lee and Mary Ellen. They were blessed to share 37 years of marriage before Bob's passing in 2002. Patricia had many hobbies over the years. She and her girls started a goat farm which was her great passion for many years. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and other crafts. She never met a stranger, she genuinely became friends with everyone she encountered. Her greatest love of all, would be that of her love for her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Terry; her husband, Bob; and her son, Ronald. She is survived by her loving mother, Alberta Singleterry; her devoted daughters, Lynda Ballou and Mary Ellen Scofield; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters, Nancy Lindsey and husband, Darrell and Kathleen Witty and husband, Frank; her sister in law, Lynn Lenhard - Ballou, her daughters from marriage, Carol Roberts and husband, Donald; Jean Wait; and Joyce Johnson and husband, Sparky; her nieces and nephews; and many close friends. She will live on in the hearts of those whom held her so dear and she will be greatly missed . As were Patricia's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions and donations may be given in Patricia's honor to: Pueblo County 4H Foundation Scholarship Fund, 701 Court St. Suite C, Pueblo, CO 81003.
