Patricia Pearson Nystrom was born July 24, 1927, at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, to Maurice Ward Pearson, Jr., and Marie Conley Pearson.
After attending Loretto Academy in Kansas City, Missouri, she graduated from Notre Dame de Sion High School. She attended the University of Kansas, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.
During Patricia’s marriage to Arthur Nystrom, she was a President and part owner of Benson Title, Asbury Title and Total Escrow in Kansas and in Missouri. She served as District President and National Delegate to the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), as well as international delegate to Les Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales. During this tenure she attended several international conferences and had the pleasure of meeting several heads of state.
In the 1970’s, Patricia became a delegate to the Second White House Conference of Small Business Owners as advisor to the Reagan administration on the unique needs of small business owners.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur Noel Nystrom. She is succeeded by her children, Arthur Noel Nystrom, Jr. (Carol), Marta Nystrom (Dave Caputo) and Sara Kelly (James) as well as a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 1:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Mrs. Nystrom will be buried next to her husband on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10:30 am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
