Patricia "Pat" Ann Cyphers

Patricia "Pat" Ann Cyphers passed away at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center at the age of 82. Pat was born on October 2, 1933 in Ponca, Nebraska to Michael and Hilda Cyphers. She joined the Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1955 as a First Class Airman. She worked for Armour Meat Packing Plant as a supervisor for 25 years before retiring. She ended up in Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1991 where she began doing treatment foster care. She continued to do foster care for 18 years and changed the lives of so many children with her patience, love and kindness. Pat is survived by her wife, Kay Meredith; her three sons, Jeremy Goo, Timothy Goo and Hayden Goo; her daughter, Stefanie Fontaine; her son-in-law, Brandon Fontaine; her granddaughters, Griffin Fontaine and Rowan Fontaine; her brother Lyle Cyphers; her two great nieces, Jerrilyn Orr and Inde Orr Henneous; and her two dogs, Katie and Pebbles. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Michael Cyphers and Hilda Crawford-Cyphers; her three brothers, Larry Cyphers, Earl "Bud" Cyphers and Darren Cyphers; her three sisters, Betty Riffe, Mary Barnes and Leola James; and her niece who she raised as her own, Gay Orr.
