Rae, Patricia Gail
Patricia Gail Rae, 73 years-old, died on Friday, April 29, 2016, at Lovelace Memorial Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Although her health was declining, her death was unexpected and came too soon. Her strong will to live, faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through the entire day of grueling breathing treatments, IV’s and blood draws. Her frail body was being taken quickly by a spreading infection.
Patricia (Lehman) was born on August 30, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to Albert and Maxine Lehman. The oldest of 4 siblings, she is survived by her sisters - Sharon Anderson of San Pedro, California, and Linda Overby of Prescott, Arizona, and by her brother Al (Bud) Lehman of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
She is also surrvived by her three children (her three little Indians) and their spouses: Ronald and Allyson Cottier of Portage Lake, Ohio, Anita and Carlos Lanz of Corrales, New Mexico, and Patricia and Scott Hall of Ashland, Ohio.
She was a grandmother to 5: Sarah and Alec Cottier of Portage Lake, Ohio; Jessica Zehner of Mansfield, Ohio; Jonathon and Norman Lanz of Corrales, New Mexico. It was her joy to be a great grandmother to four-year-old Wyatt Scott Zehner of Mansfield, Ohio.
Known for her ease in frequent conversations, with even total strangers, Pat enjoyed talking to people. Her favorite subject was her three cats: Sissy, Sassy and Sylvester (Little Man). Her passion for caring for others was certainly demonstrated by her love and care for her “furry” kids. She had a real zest for life; Pat loved to read, farm, travel, play games/cards, and feed her birds (road runners, humming birds, and all others).
There will be a Memorial Service for family and friends led by Pastor Jerry L. Burns at Daniel’s Family Funeral Home-Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124 on Thursday, May 5th beginning at 11:30 a.m. To view information or leave a condolence, please visit www. danielsfuneral.com.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms. The urn that holds Pat’s earthly remains will stay with her daughter, Patricia Cottier-Hall of Ohio. She wished her ashes to stay with her family and cats.
