Paul J. Chacho, Sr., 81, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in Durango, Colo. Mr. Chacho was born November 4, 1927, in Bethel, Conn., to Karol and Theresa Skovranko Chacho, and he grew up on a dairy farm in Monroe, Conn. He attended a local one-room school house in Monroe, and a vocational high school. Mr. Chacho worked for various dairies throughout his life and career, most notably, Parker Dairy and Brock-Hall Dairy in Connecticut and Creamland Dairy in Albuquerque for a total of 48 years as a milkman, providing exceptional customer service to his many customers. Paul was married in 1970 to Rosemary Murphy in Albuquerque, N.M. Mr. Chacho's favorite passion and hobby has been recycling and he was known as the "Can Man of Vallecito." Paul and Rosemary co-owned Vallecito Liquors for 17 years. He was very proud of his family and was grateful for his many friends. He is survived by his spouse, Rosemary M. Chacho of Bayfield, Colo.; four children: Paul John Chacho, Jr. (spouse: Sandra Salamon) of Placitas, N.M.; Michael R. Chacho of Montrose, Colo.; Kathleen M. Wyant (spouse, Michael Wyant), of Tijeras, N.M.; and James M. Chacho (spouse: Rebecca Chacho) of Albuquerque, N.M.; siblings: Anne Williams of Danbury, Conn.; Irene Toth of Brookfield, Conn.; Karol Chacho of Fairfield, Conn.; Andrew Chacho of Monroe, Conn.; and Virginia "Ginny" Hancock of Oxford, Conn.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former spouse Mary Chacho, a sister, Mary Conner, and his daughter, Eileen Rose Chacho. Mr. Chacho's care has been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services
