Paul S. Chavez

Chavez, Paul Age 88, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Casa Salazar, NM on October 2, 1923, to Moises and Luisa Chavez. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Chavez; his brother, Joe Chavez; and his sister, Emma Pennington. Paul is survived by his children, Lucille Melbihess and Manny Torres, Michael Chavez and wife Lena Mae, Lenny Chavez and wife Margo, Carol Martinez and husband Mike; his grandchildren, Eric Melbihess, Yvette Melbihess, Anthony Chavez and wife Melissa, Michael Paul Chavez and Carolyn, Angela Barela and husband Michael, Chris Sanchez and fiance Athena, Victoria Sanchez, Stephanie Sanchez; his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Riley Melbihess, Tristen Chavez, Wyatt and Grady Chavez, Samantha and Isaiah Barela, Braeden and Alexis Sanchez; his sisters, Rita and husband Vivian Jaramillo, Erlinda and husband Pablo Rael; his brother, Richard Chavez and wife Christine; nephews, nieces and family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Casa de Rosa Assisted Living for the special love and care for their dad. Visitation will take place Friday, February 10, 2012, from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque. Rosary to be recited immediately following at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 9:30 AM at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, Albuquerque.
