66, a resident of Magdalena, NM, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Paul was born November 6, 1948 in Lindelbach, Germany to USAF TSGT. Royal and Ellen (Huth) Mank. He became a U.S. citizen in 1960. Paul attended college at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Upon graduation, he pursued a career in teaching, first in Illinois and later in New Mexico. Paul valued education and imparted his vast wealth of knowledge to his students over the years. He had a passion for history and strived to bring it to life in his classroom. After retiring, he enjoyed reading, gardening and various other outdoor activities. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; his devoted daughter, Cydnie Mank-McKinley and husband, Bret of Milan, IL; his son, Robert of Colona, IL, one sister, Patricia Mank-Novia of Derry NH; and long time friend, Mary Mayle-Mank of Hop Canyon. Other survivors include nieces, Dani and Lauren Novia; and nephew Taylor Novia of NH.
