MARTINEZ - Paul Anthony Martinez, age 53, beloved son, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home by His Heavenly Father, Monday, February 2, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born on November 29, 1955 and was a resident of Albuquerque. After graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1973, Paul joined the United States Navy. He retired from the City of Albuquerque, and was a member of the Blue Collar Union for 24 years. Paul enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and especially spending time with his family whom he loved so much. Paul will always be fondly remembered for his great conversations, his beautiful smile and his loving manner. He was preceded in death by his father Pete Martinez, Sr.; brother-in-law, Charles Aragon; Nephew, Jessie Martinez; and Goddaughter, Jacqueline Aragon. Paul is survived by his loving sons, Francisco E. Martinez and wife Nickole and Angelo T. Martinez and girlfriend Randi Gallegos; his precious granddaughter, Jerrikah Martinez; his loving mother Dora (Aragon) Martinez; five brothers; five sisters. Paul is also survived by his previous wife and long-time friends Yvette Brock and husband Dave; special friend in his life, Josefina Lopez; two Goddaughters; numerous loving nieces, nephews, and other family members and a host of friends. Paul will be greatly missed and always loved by all. Pallbearers will be Adam Martinez, Peter Martinez, Jr., Peter Martinez, Carlos Aragon, Chicago Joe, and Dave Brock.
