MONTOYA - Paul T. Montoya, Jr., age 70, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home by the Lord, Friday morning, July 23, 2010, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lemitar, NM to the late Pablo and Odelia Montoya, and was a resident of Albuquerque. Paul was a member of St. Edwin Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He proudly served our country in the United States Army.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Priscilla Montoya; his children, Gilbert Montoya and wife Beckie, Felicity Chavez and husband Edward, Jr.; his precious grandchildren, Marissa Montoya, Anthony Chavez, and Miguel Montoya. Also surviving are a special daughter, Tara Montoya; his brothers, Max Montoya and wife Bonnie, Henry Montoya and wife Sally; his sister, Elena Contreras and husband Eugene; Auntie Nica, Auntie Vera, Uncle Leo; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends. Paul will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at the San Antonio Commuity Cemetery in San Antonio, NM. Military Honors will be accorded by the NM United States Volunteers Honor Guard.
