Paul Dean Vendetti, 75, of Farmington, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Farmington. He was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Domnic and Bessie (Beard) Vendetti. He attended Holy Cross Abbey School in Florence, Colo., and graduated from Colorado State University. In 1953, he served in Korea as a gunnery sergeant, U.S. Army, 6th Infantry Division. He was awarded the National Defense Service medal, United National Service medal and Korean Service medal. He also served as a scientific helper at the White Sands Missile Testing Range. For 50 years, he repaired engines. For the past four years, he owned his own business, Precision Engine. He liked fishing, hunting, swimming, and camping out. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Debby; sons, Nick, Josh and Don; daughters, Maria and Angela; sister, Peggy; brothers, Mike and Phillip; and by 11 grandchildren.
