Paula Faye Hardin, 61, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 in her home in Albuquerque after a six month battle with complications from heart surgery.
She leaves her son, Ralph Catoire Jr and daughter-in-law Rachel Catoire; her daughter, Amanda Figueiredo and son-in-law Joseph Caso Sr, three grandchildren, Nathan Catoire, Cristian Figueiredo and Michael Caso. She is also survived by her mother, Wanda Hardin; sister, Wanda Reddick and brother-in-law, Leslie Reddick; nephew Martin Reddick; and six great nephews and nieces, Christopher Pittman, Eric Reddick, Jacob Reddick, Brianna Reddick, Mackenzie Reddick and Scarlett Reddick. She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Eugene C Hardin; her grandmother, Pauline (Martin) Fortenberry; and her nephew, Matthew Reddick.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana the daughter of Eugene and Wanda (Forbes) Hardin, she was a resident of Albuquerque for about 10 years.
Paula was first and foremost a devoted mother and worked as a nurse for over 20 years. She was known as a kind, loyal, and fun-loving person and had a love for animals beginning in childhood. Throughout her youth until her resent illness, she rescued abandoned cats and dogs. Paula’s love for her family was indescribable and she was a devout Christian. Although very ill, she attended regular bible study and professed her faith in Jesus Christ despite her prognosis. Paula will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.
