Peggy Miller, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born in Albuquerque, NM and was 70 years old when she died. She was a proud member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and the ASPCA.
Peggy graduated from Highland High School in 1965 and then obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from UNM in the 1970”s. Peggy started her career in education at Harrison Middle School. She then became the first ever activities director at la Cueva High School. She retired from teaching in 1994, and then worked from home as a travel agent. She was honored in 2005 by the New Mexico Association of Student Councils as a lifetime member and was also honored as high school student council advisor of the year.
Peggy’s greatest love were her friends, family and students. Her other passions included travel, always lucky trips to the casino, and her beloved dogs. She is survived by her brother and sister-n-law, Jack and Barbara Miller and her niece and her husband, Jessica and Brad Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Janet Miller.
