Pete Garcia

Garcia, Pete Age 87, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2013. He was born August 16, 1925, in Espanola, New Mexico to Tonita and Liberto Garcia. Pete was a life-long resident of Espanola. He is survived by his children, Patricia Hardy, Pamela Thomas and Paula Sims; sister, Lucia Hamiton; brother, Gilbert Garcia; grandchildren, Deanna Hardy, Christal Jones, Jamie Polaco, Jakob Polaco, Amy Sims, Randell Sims, Benjamin Thomas and Matthew Thomas; great grandchildren, Audreanna Sims, Aiden Thomas, Rory Thomas and Liam Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Lucille Archuleta-Garcia and son Ronald Polaco. Pete�s favorite past time activities included fishing, farming, playing with his dog and being outdoors. Pete was a loving and compassionate father, grandfather and friend with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 1:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Parish in Espanola with a reception to immediately follow.
