Peter A Chavez

Chavez, Peter A 56, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on October 15, 1957 to Pedro M. and Flora (Pena) Chavez. Peter was a lifelong resident of Lemitar. He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and especially horseback riding. He loved his horse, Boston. Peter was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His nieces, Jayleen, Justeen, and Jayda were especially close to Uncle Peter and he adored them. Peter was always doing something, he was a jack of all trades and was always just doing stuff around the house, chopping wood, clearing trees, or cleaning the yard. Peter was very fond of his dogs, Misty, Shadow, Diego, and Six Toes, they were always together. Peter was also a very skilled paint and body tech, he painted cars for years, he was good at it and really enjoyed it. He was preceded in death by his parents; his niece, Antionette Riboni; and his nephew, Jason Aguilar. Peter is survived by his children, Christopher Chavez and wife, Angela; Michael Chavez and wife, Melissa; Pete "Diddo" Chavez and wife, Nicole; and Amanda Chavez and Paul Tafoya; sixteen loving grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his brother, Paul Chavez and wife, Nadine; his sisters, Robin Capatosto and husband, Salvatore; Gilda Hughes; Lavern Robinson and husband, Walter; Jaclyn Robinson and husband, Rusty; and Michelle Chavez and Tony Garza; his companion and friend, Rena Lopez; and many other loving family members, nieces, nephews, and close friends. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Daniels Family Funeral Services with the Holy Rosary being recited at 1:00 pm.
