On November 15, 2021, Phil Allen Carr passed away unexpectedly at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 55.
He was born in Roswell, NM on September 22, 1966 to Jerry E. Carr and Linda D. (Essary) Perez. Phil attended high school in Lawrence, Kansas and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University. He worked at Raytheon Missile systems in Tucson, Arizona and Halliburton/Sperry Drilling Services in Wyoming and Colorado. Phil was an outgoing and kind person who enjoyed conversation with everyone. He took pleasure with working on computers, computer programming, mechanical devices, cooking, and reading science fiction books. Phil especially liked his loving calico cat Cali, and the squirrels that he fed on his balcony. He was creative, innovative, clever and an ingenious problem solver who remained curious about new topics throughout his life. Phil was a loving member of our family and will be sorely missed by both family and friends. We are fortunate to have had Phil participate in our lives for the short time he was on this earth. Phil is survived by his father Jerry E. Carr, his sister Kerry R. Carr, his mother Linda D. Perez, and his stepfather Melesio S. Perez.
