Phillip Anthony Barela

Barela, Phillip Anthony Age 78, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home, Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was born on July 18, 1933 in Santa Fe, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kella Barela. Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosina Barela; his children, Michael Barela, Mario Barela and wife Mable, Phyllis Dakin and husband Tim, Trisha Bachicha and husband Leonard, Angela Conner and husband James and John Barela and wife Tina; his precious grandchildren, Bernice, Lisa, Michael, Matthew, Mark and wife Myra Barela, Nicolas Dakin, Jessica Ewell and husband Jason, Benito Bachicha, Marissa Easter and husband Ryan, Kristin Montoya and husband Andrew, Leslie Conner, Darren Barela and wife Hilary, Jonathan Barela and wife Alisa, and Nicole Lopez; and nine great-grandchildren. Phillip will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Thursday, December 8, 2011, 10:30 a. m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary , 9420 Fourth St. NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. and then followed by the Funeral Service at12:30 p.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Military Honors will be accorded by the Santa Fe Veterans of Foreign Wars.
