Joe died Dec. 30, 2009, in Smith Lake. He was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Borrego Pass, into the Red Streak People Clan for the Mescalero Apache for the Zia People Clan. Joe worked for the railroad, was a silversmith, rancher and was a member of the rodeo association. He was a co-founder of the Seven Churches Pentecostal. The time of his death, he was an Apostle with the Seven Churches of Pentecostal. Survivors include his sons, Adrain Joe Sr., Andrew Joe, Amos Joe; daughters, Mary Ann Meese, Bernice Joe, Josephine B. Joe, Dora R. Joe, Celia R. Joe; sister, Dorothy Lope; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Flora C. Joe; sons, Ernest Joe, Abel Joe-Jim, Dejuan Joe; parents, Black Joe, Louise Joe. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel K. Bread, Theodore R. Joe, Monica L. Bitsuie, Douglas Footracer, Ryan Barbone, Harrison Tolino Arrangements are entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
