Phyllis J Salazar

Phyllis Jean Salazar, age 72, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved unconditionally and had a heart of gold. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, shopping, going for walks, going to dinner with her friends, and road trips. Most of all, she held her family close and would drop the world to make them number one.

She was born on January 11, 1946, in Fort Sumner, NM. Phyllis grew up in Clovis, NM.

She married Antonio (Tony) A. Salazar on July 6, 1963. Tony was in the Navy, which allowed them to travel throughout the country. The couple settled in Albuquerque, NM, in 1987.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Tony; Parents, Sipriano and Stella Rael; Siblings: Gilbert Rael and Diana Villareal.

She is survived by her son, Randy Salazar; daughter, Melissa Volpert and husband, Gene; brother, David and wife, Gloria Rael; grandchildren, Miranda Garcia and companion, Oscar Lopez Jr., Alexander and Connor Volpert; great-granddaughter, Jazelle Lopez.

Reception to follow laying Phyllis to rest at approximately 5:00 pm at 12520 Eagle Rock Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87122.
