Phyllis M. Tuell (nee Harrison)
Hello: My Name is Phyllis and I was born in a small town of Todmorden, Yorkshire in the North of England on Aug 16, 1938. As a child, I loved wandering around the Moors of western Yorkshire with my Father and our dog "Mickey". After finishing High School in 1954 at age 16, I entered Nursing Training. While at nursing school I met my Husband Charles, who was stationed at a nearby Air Force Base, in Aug 1956 and we were married on Jan 11, 1958. We did several tours as a family in England, Oklahoma, Florida, and our last station was Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque. My Husband also did a tour in Vietnam. We have Four Children, Debra Melton, Tina Counts, Patricia Dobelmann and Charles J Tuell Jr. Twelve Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren. I became a Bookkeeper in Florida while Charles was in Vietnam. When we arrived in New Mexico I became the bookkeeper for a tire manufacturing company here in Albuquerque. When they closed, I opened my own business successfully out of our home. We always had and enjoyed dogs. I like to knit, bake, read and walk. I currently like to keep my hands busy with whatever I can find or move. Something that I really like and it seems to calm me down is a cup of hot tea with cream and honey. Some of the happiest memories were spending time with my family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
