83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Escondida, NM on July 25, 1931 to Salomon and Aurora (Lopez) Moya. Prescilla was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She was a Senior Companion for the Senior Citizens Center and also a foster grandmother for the Socorro Aim High. She loved to dance and enjoyed visiting the casino's but, "just for a bit." She loved her Novellas. Prescilla especially loved being with her family, whether it was just sitting around and visiting or fishing at the river. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who loved helping others, was strong willed, and devoted to her faith in the Lord. Prescilla was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Terry Baron; and Margie Moya; and her beloved husband, Thomas Herron Sr. in 1992. She is survived by her devoted children, Arthur Herron and Elena Lopez; Aurora Hinojosa and husband, Oscar; Thomas Herron Jr. and wife, Frances; Leonard Herron; Yvonne Silva and husband, Tony; Jerry Herron and wife, Michelle; and Leora Herron; her brothers, Placido; Frankie; and Ruben Moya; her sisters, Grace Barreras; Maime Armijo; Thomasa McFadden; Gloria Quitana; and Betty Thurber; and many other loving family members and close friends. Grandma Prescilla will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren, Veronica; Alejandra; Prescilla; Andrew; Joseph; Thomas III; Anthony; Brianna, Danielda; Joshua; Julian; Jaron; and Javin; and 27 great grandchildren. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. Honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
