Rafaelita Maestas

Rafaelita Maestas, age 89, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, was embraced by the Lord, Thursday, September 4, 2014.   She was born in Casa Salazar, NM and was longtime resident of Alameda, NM, where she a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Furgencio Maestas; two brothers; three sisters; and son-in-law, Toby Lucero.  Rafaelita is survived by her loving children, Bernice Lucero, Fernando and Roberta Montoya; her precious grandchildren, who she loved so much, Angelique Barrios and husband Armando, Andrea Martinez, and husband Arthur, Candyce Martinez and husband Mario, Jacqueline Rael and husband Felipe, and Claudia Lucero; her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Mateo, Benson, Maryce, Joseph, Lewis, Toby, Ava.  Rafaelita will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.



A Rosary will be recited Monday, September 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW.  Service of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church.  Interment take place Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
