Ramon Greyeyes

Ramon Greyeyes, 89, of Farmington, NM, passed away December 1, 2009 in Farmington, NM. He was born March 7, 1920 in Gallegos, NM, to Mr. Greyeyes and Elizabeth Zonnie Yazzie. Mr. Greyeyes attended the Ignacio Boarding School. He became a rancher and did so his whole life. He enjoyed tending his livestock and watching sports especially boxing. Mr. Greyeyes enjoyed being and sharing with his grandson. Ramon Greyeyes is survived by his children Stanley and Ira Greyeyes, a brother, Ray Greyeyes, his nephews, Bruce Heller, Alexander Shields, Nelson Shields, Charley Shields, Jr., and Abraham Shields; and by his nieces, Charlene S. Chee, Rhoda and Rachel Shields. Mr. Greyeyes has 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ramon Greyeyes was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Roger Greyeyes, brothers, Frank Greyeyes, Willie Greyeyes, and Billy Greyeyes, his sister Etta Greyeyes, and a Grandson Lester Greyeyes.
