Ramona C. Garcia, Age 95, born June 9, 1920 passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Albuquerque. Ramona was born in Bernalillo (El LLanito), New Mexico, to Melecio and Maria Procopia Carrillo.
Ramona married Hipolito Garcia in April 1937 and they lived in Cedar Crest, and San Antonito most of their lives and later moved to Albuquerque for health reasons.
Ramona was preceeded in death by her parents; husband, "Polito"; daughter, Mary Alice Gonzales; three brothers, Joe, Floyd, and Tony Carrillo; sisters, Stella Avalos, and Betty Gamboa.
Ramona is survived by her son, George Garcia; grandchildren, Charles "Chuck", Garcia (Shanna), Beverly Pribble (Garry), Matthew Gonzales (Jeanette), and Bernadette Whalen (Kevin); great grandchildren, Charlie Garcia, Garrett Pribble (Stephanie), Richard and Ashleigh Pribble, Logan and Madeline Whalen; great great granddaughter, Kyleigh Nicole Pribble.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza St. NW, Albuquerque, NM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 am.
Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, Albuquerque, NM.
A reception will follow the inurnment at Daniels-Wyoming Reception Center 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
In lieu of flowers you may contribute to your favorite charity in her name.
