Randy James Celestine was born August 24, 1963 to the late Milton Celestine Sr. and Ms. Beatrice Alexander Celestine of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.
Randy married his high school sweetheart, Lena M. Galentine on July 24, 1982. To that union two children were born, Ashley Nicole and Dominic Jamal both of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Randy joined the United States Air Force. In 2003, after 21 years, 8 months and 4 days, he retired as an E-7 Master Sergeant. Randy holds two Master’s degrees, the first in Management & Leadership and the second in Public Administration. Randy was employed as a Budget Analyst with the 377 MXG on Kirtland Air Force base.
Randy was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Rev. Dr Marshall L Smith was his pastor. He served as President of the Usher Board and the Trustee Board.
The Honorable Randy J. Celestine served as the 20th Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New Mexico and the Most Wise of San Hedrin Chapter of Rose Croix. He is a Past Master of Mt. Everest Lodge # 1 and Past Potentate of Luxor Temple # 202. He was a member of Manzano Chapter # 3, Holy Royal Arch Masons and Sandia Commandery # 3, Knight Templars, American Legion (Post 95), Navajo Elks Lodge, Disabled American Veterans and Buffalo Soldiers Society of New Mexico. Through his many accomplishments and dedication, he was elevated to the Thirty-Third Degree, last degree in Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Prince Hall Affiliation, Southern Jurisdiction in 2004.
Randy loved Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and all that he stood for. The famous “Drum Major Instinct” sermon was one of his favorites.
Randy’s passion was service to others, especially the less fortunate. His motto: ‘Everyone can be great at service to others”. Titles were not important, just be the best you that you can be.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving Wife of 37 years, Lena, Mother - Beatrice, Daughter Ashley, Son Dominic; Grandchildren Tristan James (Chocolate Chip), Alaya Renee (Monkey) and Dominique Janay (Lil Randy); Brothers - Lawrence (Mandy), Clarence (Marie), Shelton (Barbara), Milton (Angelina), Ronald (Stephanie), Patrick (Cynthia), Leroy Celestine; Sisters - Betty Jean and Yvonne; Brother in laws - Clifton Galentine Jr (Anita), Clifford Galentine (Gwendolyn); Sister in laws - Sylvia Egland (Floyd) and Lelia Robinson (Carl); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
